Evaluation

  • In the field of prevention, measuring outcome is a challenge. It is important that every prevention based project meet the needs of this challenge to demonstrate that it is the most strategic investment funders can make.
  • By using a resiliency model we can gather data, based on a well researched approach.
  • Our evaluation measures are age appropriate and cover the constructs that are indicated to measure a youth’s resiliency.
  • At this point in our work we are a field based service agency. Our evaluations are designed to be non intrusive and are conducted during field projects.
  • We have no control group and our measures at this time relate to a single group sample.
  • Outside factors do play a role in the variance of program results. For example we have no control over what can be happening in a child’s life outside of our programs. However our projects and programs are designed to not only increase but also maintain a youth’s resiliency in the face of adversity.
