The Recreation Program

Positive alternative recreation when pared with other prevention based strategies becomes hugely effective in supporting youth in staying healthy and resilient during their formative years. We offer a full range of recreation activities designed by the youth using our centre.

Our recreation program includes our drop in centre which houses a music system, two pool tables, a gaming centre, a computer area, an air hockey table, a small selection of arcade games and a foose ball table. The drop in centre is open Monday through Saturday, opening right after school weekdays and at two pm on Saturday.

In our Hall we host recreational sports activities such as floor hockey, soccer, basketball and in door skateboarding. These activities are hosted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons after school. Saturday nights from seven to midnight we host a different event every week planned by the youth and our rec worker. These activities are designed through high levels of youth input, involvement and investment.
