Social Ventures

Throughout our entire organization the one word you will hear over and over is resiliency. As an organization we aim to be resilient, we want to assure children, youth and families who we serve that we will be around, the doors will stay open and they can count on the support we offer them for as long as they need the support. Looking for support we have found great partnerships; however these are often meant to be temporary supports. The days of core funding are disappearing and being prevention based in an intervention culture, we can not be sure that core funding will ever be made available to us again.

This has created within us a desire to be self sustaining. To develop a structure of funding that results in our own financial stability.

In meeting this goal we are in the process of developing an internal support network of social ventures.  These income generating projects are well researched plans that involve specific targets and agendas to meet the financial needs of our programs and services.

To date we have four social venture programs operating on the Hope Centre property.

More ventures will soon be under development….
